The First accesory I recommend is a Go-No Go Box.

Great Idea to take the guess work out of meeting the rules.
I built a slight tolerance into the box so if it doesn’t fit it is not compliant.
No more “I built it to the limit, that’s why it doesn’t fit.”  if it doesn’t fit it IS over spec.

Now for the instructions:

Cut the base piece a to the maximum dimensions of the car length and width. 7" x 2 3/4" from 1 x 4 board.
Cut a piece of lane strip to fit in the middle of the box. 7" x 1 5/8" from 1/4" plywood or board.
Cut another piece the same width as the base that is 3" long plus the thickness of the base and the top piece,
Cut the top piece the same width as the base also but it only needs to be 1 1/2" long.
Cut plexi-glass or similar for the sides. Predrill holes and screw pieces together.

Some boxes also contain a start pin to make sure the car stages correctly on the start line. If you add one be sure to lengthen the box to accommedate the space it will take up.
The following picture is of a commercially available box, it also includes a door at the rear.

I will add others as time permits.
